Vegas!

So we had our first big vacation of 2012! We headed to Las Vegas for Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. We picked that weekend since my bachelorette weekend was exactly a year before and most people get Monday off.

For those of you who know me... you know how incredibly important my best friends are to me. They are literally the sisters I never had. Amy and KC are my housemates from college and I am so happy when the 3 of us are together! We've always called ourselves the 214 girls since that was our house number in college and we had lots of parties at 214 Mitchell lane.  I miss these girls terribly and I'm so happy when we get to plan vacations and visits here and there. It is not nearly often enough! Hopefully we will all live closer one day... or Amy will come back from Seattle to the East Coast!

Anyways it is so nice that our husbands are all laid back compared to our Type A personalities and get along so well. We also added Jim's best friends from college and now my close friends too, Caressa and Chris which was so fun! Everyone had a wonderful time walking, exploring, drinking, gambling, and eating absolutely delicious food!  I highly recommend Simon at Palms Place.... Jim had some yummy sushi and I had an awesome twice baked potato and crab cake.

Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Can't wait for the next 214 trip/visit and lots of fun memories in between. :)

Christmas Cheer

So it's December 27th and we have completed Round 1 of the holidays with my family. Round 2 starts in a few hours when Jim's family gets here. We were lucky not to travel this year and have everyone come to us. It is nice for Jim to spend 10 days in a row at home! Anyways I thought I'd share a few photos from the time spent with my parents and some of our holiday decorations. We had a wonderful time. I think the biggest hit was the Wii Hunting game we got my Dad. I'm pretty sure we played it for hours. We also enjoyed some card games and lots of great food! Can't wait for the next time we will all spend time together again.

Definitely one of the best Christmas dinners we have had in awhile. Everything was perfect!
